Martiros Yavrunts was born in 1902 into a winemaking family in the city of Bitlis. During the years of Armenian Genocide, The Yavrunts family, migrated to France, city of Marseille, after which to Burgundy. Martiros followed his father’s steps and dedicated his entire life to winemaking. His dream was to make top quality wine from grapes grown in his motherland, Armenia.
A century later, Martiros wine was created to honor the extraordinary winemaker, and introduce his story to wine lovers all over the world.
